Glass City Crossing

I stand on a wide, paved pedestrian sidewalk at a city intersection under a clear, bright blue sky. The asphalt street is a vast, dark gray expanse, marked with bold white stripes of a crosswalk. To my left, two pedestrians walk away from me toward the intersection. Tall, modern skyscrapers with glass and steel facades flank the road, their reflective surfaces catching the cool, even sunlight. Traffic lights hang from black metal poles over the intersection, one currently displaying a red light. The atmosphere is calm and orderly, characteristic of a clean, metropolitan business district. Vehicles steadily pass through the intersection as traffic signals cycle between red and green. The two pedestrians continue their walk across the wide street toward the distant buildings. Further in the background, the faint silhouettes of more cars move along the distant roadway, and the leaves of the scattered roadside trees sway gently in a light breeze.
